Vegan nutritional powder?

Posted by admin on February 7, 2012

I was browsing some vegan websites, and some recipes said you could add a powder to your food that is supposed to add nutrition? Could anyone explain what this is, where to get it, etc?

Chosen Answer:

The powder is nutritional yeast. It’s yellow in color and with a nutty cheesy flavor, nutritional yeast is an inactive yeast. It is super high in the B vitamins, an excellent source of folic acid, which is important for formation, growth, and reproduction of red blood cells.
